Following up from their success at the Glass Slipper Awards in August, where they won the award for Best New Exhibitor, Hotter may be winning again as they have been shortlisted for the national Responsible Business Champions Award.
The All-Party Parliamentary Corporate Responsibility Group (APCRG) launched its Responsible Business Champions scheme in January 2015. Each year MPs are invited by the APCRG to identify an outstanding local business which, because of its positive impact in their constituency, deserves to be their Constituency Responsible Business Champion. A Parliamentary judging panel then considers the companies nominated by MPs against national criteria announced each year by the APCRG and selects one company as the winner of the APCRG National Responsible Business Champion award.

Highlights of the nomination include Hotter’s commitment to the local community through their outreach work in business, education and the charity and voluntary sector.
Hotter supports the local business community through a number of initiatives including the Skelmersdale Place Board championing the Skelmersdale brand story.
In education the company works closely with West Lancashire College and Edge Hill University providing a link governor at both institutions, and also works with four local high schools each year supporting careers activities.
The shortlisting team also recognised Hotter’s support in the community, particularly their close links to Midstream and supporting the Skelmersdale Veterans Association.
Hotter will now wait to hear if they’ve been successful in being crowned the national champions at an event in Parliament later this month.
