Calling West Lancs Employers!
The Lancashire Careers Hub are working with Learn Live UK to showcase local employers to young people who very soon will be our workforce of the future.
LearnLiveUK are looking for employers to create some inspiring video content for their upcoming Learn Live UK broadcasts.
The Enterprise Partnership and Careers and Enterprise Company we will be airing 3 live broadcasts in November and would like as many employers to take part and showcase their fantastic businesses. For further information please visit:
All schools across Lancashire, Blackpool and Blackburn with Darwen are invited to join the broadcasts so it is the perfect opportunity to engage with young people on a digital platform!
The schools will be invited to join the broadcasts as well as being able to watch a show reel of video content from employers in the future.
How to get involved…
If you’re interested in getting involved in the LIVE NEWS, Learn Live will require a 5-minute video explaining your business/sector and to talk about possible career opportunities. It's as easy as that!
Your video will be broadcast during your time slot throughout the 3 hour event and you must have an employee representative available for the entire 3 hour broadcast to answer any questions from students.
You will be asked to cover the following in your broadcast…
- An intro to your business and career progression
- Hints/tips on applications
- Explain how interested parties can apply
Planning your video
- Start off by introducing your company. If you have a short (5 minute) corporate video, then you can use this.
- Give advice on how to get into your industry for example apprenticeship and graduate routes.
- Give a brief overview of the different roles/careers available to young people within your company, for example, technical roles, HR, Finance, Business Admin etc.
- Include a ‘WOW – I didn’t know that fact’ about your business, it needs to a fact that young students will remember and likely to tell someone!
- Then end the video with a ‘next step’ for example, do you have an apprenticeship recruitment window, how to apply for some work experience within your organisation.
