The first phase of the Skelmersdale town centre regeneration project is on track to open by spring 2022, after work on the development significantly progressing with new units complete with walls and roofs now built.

Now known as the Tawd Valley Centre, the new retail development will soon be home to Lidl and B & M Bargains and talks with a third undisclosed retailer in their later stages.

The Tawd Valley Centre is just one aspect of the wider Skelmersdale revamp, which will also include a new high street to link West Lancashire College with the rest of the town centre and improvements will also be made to the public areas outside Skelmersdale Library to make them more attractive spaces.
