Skelmersdale-based CRP Subsea have been awarded three major international contracts for cable protection and buoyancy modules.
The first major contract is with Seaway 7 is for the production of 140 NjordGuard cable protection systems and bellmouths for Changfang and Xidao (CFXD) offshore wind farms located off the west coast of Taiwan.
The systems are designed to protect the inter-array and export power cables for 62 wind turbines and horizontal directional drilling (HDD) conduit cables, from fatigue damage due to the wave and current forces in the region.

The two wind farms located 11 to 25 kilometres off the coast of Changhua County in Taiwan, will provide clean energy to nearly 1.75 million homes in Taiwan for the next 20 years.
CRP Subsea have also secured several deepwater contracts to provide distributed buoyancy modules (DBMs) in Brazil for undisclosed companies and a further contract to provide two of their market-leading buoyancy solutions in the Gulf of Mexico.

In Brazil, CRP Subsea’s Distributed Buoyancy Modules will be used to reduce top tension by maintaining a lazy wave configuration of the pipeline, thus reducing the risk of pipeline failure and increasing the lifetime of the field
Returning to the Gulf of Mexico, CRP Subsea will be providing their unique Rotating Buoyancy Modules which are used to mitigate flowline buckling combined with our innovative Integral Buoyancy Modules, helping to generate a system riser configuration.
