A pair of talented apprentices from Climarite Refrigeration in Skelmersdale, Lancashire have reached the final stages in one of the most prestigious industry awards, the ACR Trainee of the Year 2024.
Michael (Mick) Brady and Alex Forkings beat fierce competition to reach the final stage in the Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineer category.
The pair were nominated by team leaders and course tutors for their “ability, enthusiasm, progress as engineers and future potential in the industry.”
Last year, the Mick and Alex began an apprenticeship at the City of Liverpool College to further develop their skills, which will lead them to a level three qualification to become fully qualified RACHP engineers. Both nominees also reached the finals in the RAC Cooing Awards and BIBAs Awards earlier this year.
The ACR Trainee of the Year Awards takes place on Thursday 5th December at the Leeds Marriott Hotel. We want to wish Mick and Alex the best of luck in the final, and congratulations for this fantastic achievement!
