Artist Impression of Skelmersdale Town Centre DevelopmentB&M has been announced as the second anchor for St. Modwen’s redeveloped Skelmersdale town centre, which will see 50 jobs created for local people and adds to the discount retailer’s portfolio of 570 shops.

The new 20,000 sq ft branch will sit adjacent to Lidl’s recently announced 20,800 sq ft unit when the project gets off the ground.

“Securing B&M alongside Lidl is a further major boost for the future development of Skelmersdale town centre. The commitment made by two of the UK’s leading retailers to come to Skelmersdale is a huge boost of confidence for the town and the scheme and we look forward to delivering the extension to the town centre alongside our partners.”
Paul Batho, Development Director at St Modwen

St. Modwen’s plans for Skelmersdale also includes a new pedestrian link between West Lancashire College and the town centre, as well as enhancements to the public areas outside the Library and Nye Bevan Pool.
