Edge Hill University Academics from the Computer Science department recently secured a total of £225,452 government funding to help scale up HRH International.

HRH International are a British food export company that has been exporting British grocery and confectionery products worldwide since 1987. They moved to their new warehouse in Burscough in January 2023, and their current customer base includes the USA, Canada and Australia.

Following a meeting with the Business Engagement Team at West Lancashire Borough Council, HRH International teamed up with Edge Hill through the University’s SME Productivity and Innovation Centre’s High Growth Innovation Sprint programme. The programme is funded by West Lancashire Borough Council and aims to help companies in the borough overcome growth challenges to take their business to the next level.

The grant secured will allow both organisations to create a ground-breaking data platform which will help boost HRH’s productivity across a variety of areas, such as customer management, order processing and supplier purchasing. Furthermore, the platform will be vital in growing the business to keep up with market demand.
