Skelmersdale Ambassador nominated for top award

Paula Gamester, Director of The Sewing Rooms in Skelmersdale and a member of the Skelmersdale Place Board has been nominated for the 2019 Inspire Women in Social Enterprise Award.

This award celebrates a woman working in a leadership role/ founder of a social enterprise.  It will celebrate a woman who who can truly demonstrate and communicate an impact with her stakeholders, genuinely engaged her employees, and traded for the benefit of the community.

Paula is the founder of Connector Media CIC Social Enterprise and Co-founder and Director of The Sewing Rooms. The Sewing Rooms works with long term unemployed and private customers teaching sewing and upholstery skills within a dedicated workshop in Skelmersdale.

Paula is a great Ambassador for Social Enterprise and has a wealth of experience and knowledge, she is a mentor and inspiration for many other CIC’s which have been created in West Lancashire.

The winner of the award will be announced on 22nd June.
