West Lancs based business Paws in the Paddock have received support from Boost following a meeting with the Business Engagement Team at West Lancs Borough Council.
Elaine and John wanted to diversify their farm in Aughton in order to make it more sustainable, and came to the Council during their first year of starting Paws in the Paddock, a secure dog exercise field, to see if there was any support available to develop and expand.
After speaking with Chris Eriksen at West Lancs Borough Council, Elaine and John were referred over to Boost, where they received support and began the Boost Flying Start Programme, designed for for early-stage businesses that have traded for less than three years, or aspiring individuals with a great business idea.
Paws in the Paddock began when Elaine and John noticed a high number of dogs in the local area and an increase in demand for a safe space for them to exercise. The space they created aims to offer pet owners a secure environment for their dogs to run and play freely, thus removing the worries of busy public places.
