Entries for The Red Rose Awards 2023, Lancashire’s biggest awards ceremony, are now open! The Red Rose Awards have been going since 2011, and is the largest of its kind in the county that are designed to promote and salute the success of businesses within the county of Lancashire and is a great platform to promote success to potential customers, collaborators and suppliers.
Last year, West Lancashire had 3 businesses shortlisted and in previous years had a number of great Businesses nominated and win including UPS Building & Maintenance, who won the Customer Service, Growing Business & Property Business Awards in 2019.
We would love to see more of our fantastic businesses represented at the Red Rose Awards and it’s a great opportunity to get your business noticed, as well as raising the profile of Skelmersdale and wider West Lancashire across the county.
Just a few of the awards that you can get involved in are:
- Commitment to Skills Award – Open to businesses that have a clear commitment to skills both internally and externally
- Employer of the year award – Open to businesses that can demonstrate engagement with their teams and the support and development of their workforce
- Family Business Award – Open to businesses where majority ownership remains within a family and where at least two family members work in and own shares in the business.
- Large Business Award – Open to businesses in any sector with 100 or more employees
- Made in Lancashire Award – Open to manufacturing and engineering businesses of all types.
- Medium Business Award – Open to businesses in any sector with between 21 and 99 employees.
- New Business Award – Open to businesses of any size and in any sector that began trading after 4 January, 2019
- Scale-up Award – Open to businesses that can demonstrate at least a 20% scale-up in turnover in their latest financial year
- Small Business Award – Open to businesses in any sector with seven to 20 employees.

Enter the Awards
Entries for the Red Rose Awards 2023 are self-nominating and are now open until midnight, Friday 9th December 2022.
Finalists will be announced on 23rd January and shortlisted candidates will then be given one final chance to impress the judges with face-to-face interviews on 8th and 9th February 2023.
The awards ceremony will take place on Thursday 9th March 2023 at Winter Gardens Blackpool.
