Skelmersdale hosted its first ever Teenage Market at West Lancashire College on Saturday 25 November and it turned out to be a huge success. West Lancashire College were delighted to team up with Birchwood to host the Teenage Market along with their Open Day.
18 young independent entrepreneurs, many first time traders were able to show case their creativity and talent selling a wide range of high quality products, including handmade up-cycled gifts, bespoke prints, cards, clothing, confectionery, bath products jewellery and crafts.

Teenage Markets are already established in various locations across the country and have been highly praised by shopping guru Mary Portas. Skelmersdale want to be part of this movement and intend to host the market with the support of local businesses and the local Council in a retail, trading environment to build on what has already been an outstanding achievement.
