Hotter beat 156 shoe brands to win the prestigious Glass Slipper trophy for best newcomer at FN Platform. This international showcase is the pillar of branded footwear featuring men’s, women’s, juniors’ and children’s footwear brands from more than 20 countries.
Hotter was at the show to launch its new SS18 collection with the aim of attracting large independent US stockists for its comfort brand.
Founded in 1959 as a slipper manufacturer, Hotter now offers a collection of stylish women’s and men’s shoes. Hidden Comfort Concept features include supersoft and breathable leathers, lightweight and flexible soles and underfoot cushioning.
“Not only are we delighted to have won such an important award at our first visit to an overseas exhibition, we are also overwhelmed with the response to our new range.
We established our US website and mail order business five years ago and this is our fastest growing territory. We currently serve our US customers from our dedicated call centre which is situated next to our UK factory and warehouse; shoes are shipped direct to US home addresses.”
Sara Prowse, Hotter’s Chief Executive
Hotter is no stranger to awards, having won a Queen’s Award for Enterprise in 2015. Customers can shop online, through mail order catalogues and at over 80 Hotter stores in the UK.
Its state-of-the-art Skelmersdale factory produces a pair of hand finished shoes every 20 seconds! The British Footwear Association say this makes it the UK’s largest shoe manufacturer.
Congratulations Hotter!
