Following his success in securing investment on Dragon’s Den back in January 2024, The Secret Garden Glamping owner Derry Green expands his glamping business into the wider West Lancs borough – specifically to the site of La Mancha Hall in Halsall.
Based in Skelmersdale, The Secret Garden Glamping has become a worldwide hit with holiday makers, providing a luxury glamping experience which has now become a £4 million business – which all began right here in Skelmersdale.
Set in beautiful grounds, the listed La Mancha Hall showcases a rich history, and Derry has plans to include 10-15 pods on the grounds to provide accommodation for guests. He said:
“We have a good relationship with the council and they are really on board with what we’re trying to do in terms of investment and tourism.
“Skelmersdale is not known as a tourist hot spot so to bring in millions of pounds to the area and creating jobs, is hugely beneficial to the local economy.”
