Lisa Yates showcases her painting for Friends of Tawd Valley, alongside Alistair Clarke MBE (Business Advisor on Boost's Flying Start programme) and Chris Eriksen (Business Engagement Officer at WLBC)
The Mural Lisa is a Skelmersdale-based business run by talented artist and illustrator Lisa Yates, and provides bespoke, custom artwork across the UK.
Lisa is currently being supported by West Lancashire Borough Council as well as its partner Boost Business Lancashire, to help Lisa make her business a success!
Now a valued Skelmersdale Ambassador, Lisa has not only benefitted from joining a fully-funded, thriving network of businesses, but has also recently accessed the West Lancs Peer-to-Peer programme, which puts like-minded new businesses together to share their experiences, challenges and successes.
Through the Boost Business Lancashire programme, Lisa has accessed a dedicated business advisor, who will help her plan out all areas of her business. She has attended a series of seminars, including a marketing masterclass. Lisa said:
“I’m passionate about creating murals to bring colour and imagination to dull walls but this is my first venture into self-employment and I’m really pleased there’s help and support available locally.”
