In order to address wind turbine radar interference Trelleborg partnered with Loughborough University in a Knowledge Transfer Partnership. The solution they achieved from this partnership will allow wind farms to be built closer to airports, military bases and weather stations that rely on radar – supporting the progress of sustainable energy generation.

The academic partner (known as the Knowledge Base) will help develop the project, provide academic input and also recruit a suitable graduate. The scheme can last between 12 and 36 months, depending on what the project is and the business needs.
